چکیده

A field experiments were carried out at Shambat, Sudan (Latitude 15 40 ́N and Longitude 32 o o 32 ́E) in three consecutive seasons (2000/03) to investigate the effect of Bradyrhizobium inoculation and chicken manure or sulphur fertilization on minerals composition of soybean (Glycine max L.). The results obtained showed that inoculation, chicken manure, sulphur and their interactions significantly (P = 0.05) improved both major and trace minerals composition of the seeds. The results also indicated that all measured parameters increased with increasing level of chicken manure or sulphur and the highest value of each mineral was observed with either 10 tone/fed chicken manure or 100 kg/fed sulfur with or without Bradyrhizobium inoculation. The study also showed that the residual effect of chicken manure or sulphur significantly (P = 0.05) improved minerals content particularly at 10 tone/fed chicken manure or 100 kg/fed sulfur with or without Bradyrhizobium inoculation.

Inoculation with Bradyrhizobium japonicum enhances the organic and fatty acids content of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) seeds.

Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) is one of the most important food crops for human and animal consumption, providing oil and protein at relatively low cost. The least expensive source of nitrogen for soybean is the biological fixation of atmospheric nitrogen by the symbiotic association with soil bacteria, belonging mainly to the genus Bradyrhizobium. This study was conducted to assess the ef...

Bradyrhizobium japonicum Survival in and Soybean Inoculation with Fluid Gels.

The utilization of gels, which are used for fluid drilling of seeds, as carriers of Bradyrhizobium japonicum for soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) inoculation was studied. Gels of various chemical composition (magnesium silicate, potassium acrylate-acrylamide, grafted starch, and hydroxyethyl cellulose) were used, although the hydroxyethyl cellulose gels were more extensively investigated. Gel i...

Effect of Gamma Irradiation on Some Biochemical Parameters and Physico-chemical Properties of Oil in Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] .

The soybean (Glycine max l. merr) is one of oil seed plants from leguminous family. In this study, the effect of gamma radiation on chlorophyll, soluble and insoluble carbohydrate and composition oil seeds were investigated in soybean. Soybean variety J.K was irradiated with 0,100,200 and 300 gamma ray. The treatment and control seeds planed in with four replicates. The highest amount of total ...

Symbiotic effectiveness of inoculation with Bradyrhizobium isolates on soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merrill] genotypes with different maturities

The influence of soybean genotypes with different maturity groups on the symbiotic effectiveness of Bradyrhizobium spp under high native soil N is not well known. Therefore, the objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of maturity time of soybean genotypes on the symbiotic effectiveness of Bradyrhizobium spp. at higher soil N. Three isolates of Bradyrhizobium spp. (UK-isolate, TAL-3...

Effect of Manure and Foliar Application of Zinc and Manganese on Yield and Yield Components in Soybeans (Glycine Max L., Var. Williams)

In order to study the effect of different levels of the manure and foliar application of Zn and Mn fertilizers on the quantitative and qualitative yield of soybeans (var. Williams), a factorial experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design with three replications in 2012. Treatments involved three levels of fertilizer: manure (zero as control; six and 12 t/ha), two lev...
